Craft Ideas

My kids love to create with colored paper, cutting and gluing it, folding it and coloring on it. We made these gorgeous Spring Trees with colored paper, a butterfly punch and a branch from the woods.

By punching out color paper with a butterfly punch, we were able to make lots of little butterfly shapes quickly and easily. Then the girls and I taped the backs of the butterflies onto the branches.

I think it turned out really pretty!

My younger daughter also wanted to make flowers for her teachers.  We found an easy to follow template online and quickly were able to fold our paper into these fun flowers.

A lot of colored papers are too dark to color on, though, or are so cheaply made they fall apart easily. So our new favorite colored paper is called Astrobrights. It comes in 23 bright colors and its top quality is perfect for everything from kids’ art projects and school flyers to office reports and presentations.

If you want your flyer or project to stand out from the crowd, be sure to use the bold color canvas of AstroBrights paper.

  6. Those butterfly branches are beautiful, I’d love to make them as decorations. I’ve never heard of Astrobright paper though, is it just normal construction paper?

Butterflies are some of my favorite things. I think this is really cute and once the butterflies are punched, kids could finish on their own.
