As I’ve mentioned before, my kids are in a year-round school. That makes some things easier but not everything. The girls go to school for about a month and a half and then have a 3 or 4 week break before starting all over again. That means that it seems like our schedules are always changing. By the time we get used to the routine of school and settle in for a few weeks, the track is over and the kids are on break again.
Some things are important enough to schedule whether the kids are in school or not. For us, teaching the kids about proper oral care is very important. We make sure the kids brush and rinse in the morning, then brush, floss and rinse in the evening, and brush after lunch whenever possible. It’s a routine that we do our best to keep throughout the year, no matter where we are.
