Our three kids are all a few years apart from each other, so they often prefer different games and hobbies. They play together nicely and will take turns choosing the game or activity, but it’s rare that all three want to do the exact same thing.
The exception?
Building blanket forts.
We’ve tried all the usual methods: sheets draped over a string, blankets clipped to different pieces of furniture or draped between a group of chairs.
But we always come back to the easiest, the fastest and the most simple of methods – the easy blanket table fort. We just drape two huge blankets across the top of the table with a blanket hanging off each opposite side.
We add a couple of chairs on one side to make a fun tunnel entrance and leave the rest of the sides covered.
It’s that easy!
And of course, an easy and delicious snack to enjoy inside the fort – PopSecret popcorn!
My kids love crawling into the fort with a good book and a bowl of PopSecret popcorn.
And I love PopSecret because it’s so easy to make – just grab a bag, microwave and pour into a bowl. It’s easy to eat while they read and always one of the kids’ favorite snacks.
If you’ve got little ones at home, be sure to try PopSecret popcorn for your next fort-building afternoon. Be sure to share a photo of your fort on the PopSecret Facebook page with the hashtag #PopSecretForts for the chance to win awesome prizes!

Great idea using the table! That does make the fort building process a lot easier!
