I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I got my new Maytag Bravos Washer and Dryer.
To tell the truth, my feelings about doing laundry in my Maytag washer and dryer haven’t changed at all. I still get tickled when I get to keep adding and adding and adding clothes to the huge washer.
Look how huge the Bravos XL washer tub is. That’s a huge beach towel, several shirts and 2 pairs of jeans all the way at the bottom of the tub:
It’s a great thing that I can fit such huge loads in my washer because now that the kids are in school, it seems like I’m doing more laundry than ever. Over the summer the kids spent a lot of time in bathing suits and little cotton dresses, so I didn’t have a lot of laundry. I’d do a couple of loads each week for the entire family.
But with the girls in school, laundry is a different story. They have to have clean clothes each day for school, including a blouse or shirt, skirt or jumper, cardigan and knee socks. I’m doing about a load of laundry each day to make sure all of the uniforms, clothes, towels and pajamas are clean for each day. Thankfully, I can get all of those items knocked out in just one huge load each day.
This is one laundry load in the Maytag Bravos XL – 6 bath towels, 4 huge bath sheets and a fluffy pink double-bed size blanket, plus there was actually room to spare:
Not only are the girls wearing more clothes each day, but somehow they seem to always come home with every item dirty. Whether it’s dirt or grass stains from recess or tomato sauce dribbles from lunch, there seems to be some sort of stain that I depend on my washer to get out.
My Bravos XL washer even tackled a mystery stain that my daughters kept coming home with. I had no idea what it was, so I didn’t know what to do for. I wasn’t sure how to pre-treat it or what cycle to use to get it out. I ended up washing a huge load of uniforms, all with the mystery stain, on the Bulky setting.
The mystery stain came out! Completely.
I was thrilled and once again very impressed with my awesome new Bravos washer. (We eventually figured out that the mystery stain was the new clay the school had in their fossil pit covering the girls’ uniforms and making those awful stains!)
Between the huge loads of laundry I can do in the Bravos XL washer and dryer, and the awesome stain-removing powers of the different cycles, I’m still in love with my Bravos laundry pair. I depend on them to make my life easier on those crazy school days!
