When we built this house a few years ago, there were certain features that we had to have. In order to afford those features, we scrimped on other things.
I’ve regretted some of those things since we moved into this house.
We let the builder add cheap shower heads, faucets and toilets in all of the bathrooms, thinking that we’d change them out once we had moved in. But moving can be hectic, and by the time we finally had moved completely in and unpacked, we weren’t ready to start making changes to the house.
So for years I have taken showers under this pitiful little thing:
It does what its supposed to do, I suppose, and provides water for a shower. But that’s about it.
There’s no massage, no strong spray or handheld spray. It’s about as basic and boring as a shower head can get.

I was a little worried about the installation, but honestly, getting the Waterpik out of the plastic case was 10 times harder than installing it in my shower. I just took off my old shower head, then slid the retainer nut over the pipe on the wall. I screwed the pivot ball onto the pipe next and then screwed the bracket onto the retainer nut.
It took less than 5 minutes to completely change my old shower head to the new Waterpik PowerSpray+™ EasySelect® shower head.

It looks like a fancy rainshower shower head and makes the shower look so much nicer.
Everyone was excited about giving the Waterpick shower head a try, so over the last week we’ve all been taking showers in the master bathroom. There are lots of great features that we already love.

It’s easy to switch from one setting to another, even mid-shower. I can just reach up and twist the black ring around the hand held to change to a more targeted massage spray, to the full body spray, or even to water saving trickle. Or if I’m not in the shower and am cleaning the walls, I can reach up and change the spray setting without getting my hand wet, since the knob is on the handle and I don’t have to reach through the water at all.
One of the kids’ favorite features is the five foot long flexible hose. They love for me to rinse the shampoo out of their hair with it since I can tilt the spray back off of their faces and not have anything drip into their eyes. They also love to clean themselves off with the handheld (and the shower walls for a loooong time).
