One of my favorite childhood memories is getting ready for school each year. My mother would take us out shopping for lots of great new clothes and shoes. We weren’t allowed to wear them until school actually started, so I would arrange them by outfits, hang them and re-hang them in anticipation of finally being able to wear them.
Now that I’m the mom doing the school shopping, I want my kids to love it as much as I do. The excitement, the fun outfits and the expression of personality that comes from choosing their own outfits.
I want it to be easy, fast and fun, so I make sure to go to the one store that has everything we need from school supplies, to uniforms, to casual clothes and shoes. Target, of course!
My older daughter and I headed out a few weeks ago for a little back-to-school shopping at Target and she was just as excited as I was.
Since the kids go to a Charter school, I’d planned to buy several different uniform separates for each child, and then some ‘street’ clothes for casual days and weekends.
My kids all have different opinions on which type of jeans to wear, so I was thrilled to see a huge selection of skinny jeans, bootcut jeans, jeggings and more. Her favorite new jeans even have a stretchy feature, so she’s comfortable all day, no matter what she’s doing.
My daughter chose her favorite jeans, some adorable little skirts, and cute graphic tees and tops to go along with them. There was a huge selection of girls jeans and boys jeans.
Super cute and so easy!
So, so cute! There were plenty of sizes in everything, so we didn’t have to worry about not finding matches or items in her size. There were lots of mix and match clothes like cute little t-shirts, skirts and shorts that could be interchanged to make more outfits.
We loved everything we found and my daughter was so excited about her cute back-to-school clothes!
