Although I love shopping, I have to admit that I’ve never enjoyed shopping for bras. I usually just grab a few off the racks that look pretty and are my latest size, buy them, and take them home.
Now, when I say “my latest size”, I mean “if the last bra size is getting a little snug, move up a size”. If the last bra was getting too loose, I would get a smaller size. My weight and size seem to fluctuate, so my bra size would too.
But none of those bras, and none of those sizes, were actually based on a proper bra-fitting. In fact, I don’t even remember ever initially being measured for a bra. I just tried a few on as a teen and have guesstimated and fluctuated in sizes ever since.
So when I finally got my first real, honest-to-goodness bra fitting from Vanity Fair, the results were very different from what I thought they might be.
I was wearing the wrong band size and the wrong cup size. But as it turns out, 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size, so I was definitely not alone.
With my new size recommendation, I tried on a few different bras. Like this Vanity Fair Beauty Back Smoother Lace Underwire Bra.
And fell in love.
No sagging. No poking. No flat uni-breast action. No ridiculous horrible back bulges
And best of all – no straps slipping down my arms all day. Because of these gorgeous non-slip straps – one of the many tiny details that Vanity Fair uses to make sure their bras are beautiful, comfortable and incredibly functional.
It’s so important to have a bra that fits well because it can highlight the body’s shape, giving a smooth silhouette and support where it’s needed. As the foundation of the outfit, a bra can make or break the way other clothes fit and look.
Vanity Fair’s styles are inspired by customers’ needs and by emerging worldwide trends and colors, so their bras are functional and comfortable while still being elegant and on-trend.
You can find Vanity Fair bras in an extensive assortment of sizing, including band sizes 34 – 44 and cup sizes B – DDD. They are available at retailers nationwide including Macy’s, Kohl’s, JCPenney and Sears, typically for around $40 for Vanity Fair bras and $9 for panties.
