Now that 2015 is almost over, I’m looking back at what I’ve experienced throughout the year. I think about what I learned, what worked well for my business and blog, and what I’d rather not repeat in the future.
I’ve had some amazing experiences this year, met some awesome bloggers and brand reps, and found out about some great products. It has been a wonderful, rewarding year and I look forward to another year of (hopefully) more of the same.
One of my favorite campaigns, by far, was the entire Vanity Fair Ambassadorship that I was able to participate in this year.
From the first moment of our Vanity Fair partnership, there was excitement. In fact, I was whisked away to New York City to learn all about Vanity Fair and they amazing things they do – in lingerie and in women’s lives.
In NYC, I was able to meet some of the women at Vanity Fair who work hard to make sure that their products provide undeniable support, lift and elegance.
Everything there, in fact, was elegant and uplifting. From the beautiful decor, to the inspirational blogger quotes displayed throughout the office, to the women themselves.
While I was learning about the wonderful products that Vanity Fair makes, I also learned how important it is to wear the right size. As it turns out, 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size, and I have definitely been one of those women.
I was able to get a personalized bra-fitting from one of the Vanity Fair team members and couldn’t believe the results. The strap-slipping and discomfort I’d experienced for years was all because I was wearing the wrong size. The slightest weight gain or loss, body changes from pregnancy and even age can affect how a bra fits.
Now that I know, I’ll definitely be getting Vanity Fair bra fittings from time to time.
Vanity Fair plays a huge role in the success of women throughout the country by teaming up with Dress for Success.
Dress for Success is a non-profit organization that helped disadvantaged women get the training and clothing that they need to look and feel more confident in job interviews. It’s a complete network of support, from role-playing in practice interviews to helping prepare résumés.
To help women dress the part so they feel more confident and prepared for success on their journey to economic independence, Vanity Fair has committed to donate 50,000 brand-new bras to Dress for Success. It is their hope to be able to provide a beautiful new Vanity Fair bra to every woman who walks through the doors of Dress for Success in the U.S. this year. I love that!
Now that I’ve had the experience of working so closely with Vanity Fair, I can say that I think very differently about lingerie now. I know not only how important it is to wear the correct size to get the perfect look and fit, but I also now know that there are lives being changed and improved by Vanity Fair.
It makes me proud to purchase Vanity Fair products and hope that I am also making a small difference in other’s lives.
