I love Back-to-School time!
Not because the kids are going back to school – that part makes me sad. I’ll miss having long days of fun at the pool, in the yard and just having fun around the house. So while it will be nice to have a tiny bit more time for myself, it’s bittersweet to have the kids leaving the house every weekday.
So what do I love about the kids going back to school? The shopping!!
I love helping the kids gather their school supplies, shop for new clothes, and pick out their back-to-school gear.
The kids are all in different grades and change classes during the day so we have several different lists to shop from. In the past, I’ve had to drive all over town to get all of the supplies the kids needed for school. One store for backpacks and lunchboxes. Another for school supplies. And several others for clothes.
But now?
I make one stop for back-to-school shopping. At Target, of course!
Since we are almost always shopping at Target anyway, it’s so easy to head over to the school area and stock up on everything we need.
Target has everything from already-sharpened pencils (brilliant!!) to school uniforms, and everything in between.
And most exciting for my little boy – seriously awesome licensed gear!
Look at that awesome selection of characters! My kids went crazy, running around checking them all out, trying to decide which one they would choose.
And it’s not just cool backpacks. There are matching or coordinating lunchboxes, thermoses, pencil boxes, dangly-decorating thingees and more. The kids were thrilled!
My son found several backpacks that he loved and had a hard time deciding between them. He loved so many of the characters!
Finally, a decision was made. The winner was… Spiderman!
After we had a ball shopping for licensed backpacks, lunchboxes and gear, we headed over to pick up the class supplies. With such an enormous selection, we were able to find everything we needed for all three kids.
While we were there, we also stocked up on lots of adorable clothes and uniform pieces for the kids. It’s such a relief to be able to get all of our shopping done in one easy stop!
