Most of the kids in our neighborhood go to year-round schools. That means that each kid has only 5 or 6 weeks for their summer break before starting the next year of school. Plus, with different schedules for many of the schools, most of our neighborhood friends only had 2 or 3 weeks of break at the same time our kids did.
Since my kids haven’t been able to spend a lot of time with the other kids this summer, we thought a neighborhood party would be a great way to get everyone together. We had a backyard party with games, decorations, fun and lots of yummy Bomb Pops!
The kids helped my get the table area while we waited for everyone to arrive. We had the snack area, baseball/t-ball area, Bomb Pop beanbag toss and zipline all ready to go.
The younger kids had a great time playing the Bomb Pop beanbag toss. They could get a Single, Double, Triple or Grand Slam depending on which hole they got the beanbag through.
The older kids enjoyed playing baseball. They practiced hitting for a while with my husband and then played a mini-game of baseball with teams of 3. It was a lot of fun to watch and I could tell the kids were having a great time!
With the heat and humidity here in North Carolina, it wasn’t long before everyone was hot and ready for a break. We brought everyone over to the table in the shade and let them pick out Bomb Pops.
We had four awesome flavors for everyone to pick from: Original (Cherry, Lime, Blue Raspberry), Sour Power, Hawaiian Punch and Sugar-free Original.
The kids all picked a flavor and sat down to enjoy. I knew my kids would love Bomb Pops because they often choose them when our ice cream truck comes by. The other kids who came to the party really loved theirs too.
All of the flavors were huge hits!
After the kids enjoyed their Bomb Pops and cooled off in the shade, they headed down to the zipline area. The kids had a great time taking turns riding the zipline and playing on the playset for the rest of the party.
When it was time for everyone to head home, each child got his/her own Bomb Pop baseball and Keychain and the Moms got a coupon for their own Bomb Pops. Everyone was happy to get a little take-home surprise!
Bomb Pop is an official sponsor of Little League® Baseball and Softball, so you’ve probably seen their awesome treats before if you have Little Leaguers® in your family. My girls play soccer and get to bring snacks for “their” week, so we’re planning to take a cooler of Bomb Pop ice pops from now on. They’re cold, refreshing and they hit the spot on a hot Southern summer day!
Bomb Pop has lots of great ice pop flavors for every taste! Check out all of these awesome flavors: The Original, Hawaiian Punch®, Sour Wower®, The Original Sugar Free, Jolly Rancher™, Banana Fudge, Watermelon, Tongue Splashers®, Tear Jerkers® Sour Cherry. The Original Jr. and Sour Wower® Jr..
