When my kids were born, I painted the nursery a fresh new color for each baby. As they grew to toddlers and had opinions about their favorite colors, we repainted and redecorated the rooms to suit their tastes. And now that they’re a little older, they all have more mature tastes in colors and designs.
But I’m tired of painting.
Wall clings could be the perfect answer, but they’re not cheap. So decorating three rooms with lots of wall clings would be crazy expensive.

They are so simple to make.
Print out graphics that you want to use for the wall cling shapes, then use them as templates on the fabric. Or skip a step like I did and just trace the pattern right onto the fabric from the computer screen.

Use sharp scissors to cut out the fabric shapes.
Place a fabric shape into a pan or bowl, then spray liberally with heavy starch spray. (If you don’t have a heavy starch spray, you can combine your starch spray with a little corn starch to make it stick better. I used Faultless Premium Starch spray with a little bit of corn starch sprinkled and mixed in.)

Press the fabric to the wall and work out wrinkles with a paint or foam brush. Tuck any stray threads back against the fabric while still wet.

You have your own super easy DIY Wall Clings!
When you’re ready to move them, just peel off the wall. There may be a tiny bit of stick residue on the wall that can be removed with a wet cloth. Then your wall is ready for another DIY cling.
