Fall has arrived here on the East Coast – which means it won’t be long until we are warming up with soft, fuzzy socks and a hot bowl of soup. As much as I would love to tell you that I spend all day slaving over said soup – I don’t. Partly because I know my culinary skills are seriously lacking in that department, but also because with Ready –to – Eat Soups from Progresso…I really do not have to.
Progresso Soups are absolutely delicious right out of the can. A few minutes in the microwave or on the stove and voila – dinner is served! With some nasty cold wet weather on its way this weekend I decided to head to Walmart to stock up on our favorite Progresso Soups to stay full and warm while we hunker down.
Progresso offers so many varieties of Ready-to-Eat Soups made with fresh ingredients you can feel good about giving to your family. From Traditional to Light to Rich & Hearty – there is a favorite for everyone in your family. And for the price you can stock up so that you can match the “Food for your Mood.”
I picked up several of our favorites while I was at Walmart – Rich & Hearty Chicken & Homestyle Noodles, Light Creamy Potato with Bacon and Cheese, and Rich & Hearty Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice. From the looks of the shelves, I am not the only one stocking up on Progresso at Walmart for this weekend’s weather.
The one must-have with a hot bowl of soup are hot, fresh rolls – and recently I have begun making Garlic Mozzarella Stuffed Dinner Rolls for my family. The only downside is that we never have any leftovers! The kids even fight over the last one! I love how easy they are to make – and they love how great they taste. It is a total win-win.
Easy Mozzarella Stuffed Garlic Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
• Canned biscuits of choice
• Mozzarella string cheese sticks
• One stick of butter
• One tablespoon Italian seasoning
• ½ tablespoon minced garlic
• ½ tablespoon grated parmesan
Directions:
Begin by cutting your mozzarella string cheese sticks into bite size pieces. You should get about four pieces per stick. Then, press one piece into the center of each biscuit and fold biscuit in around it, making a nice ball of dough with the cheese inside. Place on parchment paper or cookie sheet with at least one inch between biscuits. Melt remaining ingredients together and stir. Using a spoon, pour melted butter concoction over each roll – letting it coat the top and sides of each biscuit. Bake at 350* for the time listed on the biscuit packaging. Note: you may need to add an extra minute or two to the cooking time to make sure dough is cooked all the way through.
The Garlic Mozzarella Stuffed Rolls go great with every single one of the Progresso Soups – I know – because we eat them all.the.time! I love that with Progresso and my dinner rolls I can have a complete, filling, satisfying meal on the table in minutes.
If you are bundling up like we are this weekend or just in the mood for something quick and delicious to fill your tummy, check out all of the varieties of Progresso Ready-to-Eat Soups.
