I live in a nice little neighborhood. Most of the neighbors are friendly and our kids enjoy playing together.
It’s such a nice neighborhood, in fact, that sometimes other people want the things we have. In the past year, there have been several break-ins and even more reports of theft of personal property. Things have been stolen out of garages and right off of front porches.
It’s not enough to make us move, but it’s definitely made us be a lot more careful about locking the doors and keeping our belongings put away.
