If you’re like me you have hundreds, maybe thousands, of pictures of your children. I’ve got several favorite places in the house where I have photo walls, but there’s not nearly enough room for all of the photos I’d love to see and share. Photo books have become a great way for me to have easy access to family photos when I want them.
Nero Kwik Media is an application that you can download for free to organize, edit and share your videos, photos and music. I used Nero Kwik Media to make a photo book last week and wanted to share my thoughts about the process. Installing the software was straightforward and simple. Once installed, I opened the program to start my photo book.
The first couple of steps were easy. I just chose my cover, a black faux-leather hardcover, and my theme, elegant. The next step was a little trickier. When I wanted to add my photos, I had a hard time only choosing the photos I wanted. The awesome thing about Nero Kwik Media is that it easily and quickly finds all of the photos on your computer, but that made finding the small number of photos I needed more difficult. I eventually found that I could click on the “folder” button and just use what was in a specific folder. Outside of the program, I added all of my favorite photos to a designated folder and then just went straight to that folder in Nero. I chose all of the photos I wanted and got ready to design my photo book.
I enjoyed choosing the pictures and arrangements for the pages. It was easy to drag things around, move, enlarge, crop, etc. so I was able to make each page look exactly like I wanted. There were even borders and clip art designs to add, but I thought the pictures looked really nice with the Elegant theme pages, so I left those off. Overall, once I figured out how to choose the photos, it was a really simple and fun process.
Once I was finished, I confirmed that everything looked the way I wanted and placed the order. A few days later, I got my new photo book. Here are a few pictures of the final result:
I love it! It looks really professional, but was so easy to make. Once I’d chosen the theme and gotten the pictures uploaded, the entire book took me less than an hour to arrange. It’s so nice, we’re considering buying two more for the grandparents as Christmas gifts.
