I’m now on my third child in diapers. With my first child, I used the brand that we were given in the hospital for quite a while. We had leaks and blowouts almost daily, but as a new mom, I just thought that was part of what happens with babies. It wasn’t until I tried Huggies for the first time that I realized leaks and blowouts are not the norm.
And over the years, I’ve reminded myself time after time why I use Huggies. We’ve had a couple of visits to see grandparents out of state where our room was already stocked with diapers when we got there. It was such a sweet thought, of course, but the brand wasn’t Huggies. After several nights in a row with leaks, we finally had to go out and buy Overnights.
We’ve also had times when we were on a trip or on the other side of the city without a diaper at changing time. I’ve bought whatever I could find at the convenience store and always know, even as I’m putting the diaper on my son, that I’ll regret buying that cheap diaper.
So now, with baby number three, we do our best to never go without Huggies. Our little boy wears Little Movers diapers in the day and Overnights when we put him in his crib at night. They both work so well for the way they were designed that we can’t imagine going without them.
Little Movers are made for just that – little movers. To say that “little mover” describes our son is an understatement. He climbs, jumps, dives off, crawls under, chases after and/or runs over something ALL.DAY.LONG. From waking in the morning until he drops to sleep at naptime, then again after nap until bed, he is on the move.
Having a diaper that can keep up with him is a must. The Little Movers SnugFit Waistband, unique contoured shape and flexible pad all help keep the diaper in place as he moves and squirms throughout the house. And with Leak Lock® technology, Little Movers diapers protect from leaks and keep my son (and his clothes, and the couch) dry.
For years, I struggled to find the best way to stop diaper leaks. I’ve done everything I could think of. I’ve double-diapered at night. I’ve pulled the diaper farther forward in the front since the toddlers all slept on their tummies and soaked in the front when they leaked. I’ve even accepted defeat from time to time and made the sheet / waterproof pad / sheet / waterproof pad / sheet covering on the crib mattress. I did that so when I cleaned off the crying baby and changed a leaking diaper in the middle of the night, my husband could just peel off a sheet and pad to get to the next layer instead of changing the sheets completely.
As I’m sure you know, NONE of those methods works well. Not only do they not prevent leaks, but they meant that *I* was often the one handing everything at night with my crazy ideas and oh-so-specific diaper changing procedures.
What does work well?
Overnights diapers. They’re made especially for long nights with a Leak Lock® protection that helps keep kids dry for up to 12 hours.
My husband and I were thrilled when we finally learned about Overnights! Our little boy loves to keep a sippy cup of water in his crib and there are some mornings in the dry air of winter that the cup is almost empty by morning. That’s a lot of wetness – but we still have no leaks! And I’m thrilled to say that they’re ‘Dad Approved’ too! No more extra work – my husband can change the diaper just as easily as I can. We have a basket of Little Movers for the day and a basket of Overnights for bedtime. Simple and effective!
I’m amazed now when I think back to everything we went through with daytime leaks, nighttime leaks, soaking wet clothes, wet and stinky sheets, wide-awake at night with crying babies and then washing load after load of urine-wet laundry. With Little Movers and Overnights from Huggies, I don’t have to deal with any of that anymore, thank goodness!
