If you’re anything like me, you know that tech products that are easy to use are a must-have. Whether I’m traveling and working on the plane or need something easy to slip into my bag for later, I’ve been wanting something a tablet or computer that I could use wherever and whenever I needed it.
So when I got the opportunity to try the Nextbook 10.1 Tablet recently, I couldn’t wait to see how well it worked with my on-the-go lifestyle.
The Nextbook 10.1 comes with a 10.1 inch screen and a detachable keyboard, which make it ideal for word processing, as I am constantly writing for my job. My kids use it for their online homework, and my husband even uses it when he wants to leave his laptop at the office. We also use it for a lighter experience working at home or on the go in our minivan or a hotel room.
The POGO technology of the keyboard is really awesome because it allows you to detach the keyboard for the pure tablet experience, if you want to play some games, surf the Internet, or read some email. The pins are easy to slide on and off, and the keyboard is large for easy typing.
The Nextbook 10.1 tablet runs the full featured Windows 8.1, which is the version you would see on most new laptops these days. There is 32 GB of storage space with room to add 64 GB of additional space with a Micro-SD card. There is room to add your favorite Windows software, and of course, Microsoft’s operating system is sleek and refined. Windows 8.1 allows you to use the desktop you know from years of using Windows, or you can the modern Start screen with apps as Live Tiles.
The Nextbook as a 2-in-1 tablet has an Intel processor that makes it run apps quickly, and it has WiFi and bluetooth capability. It has a USB port, which allows you to potentially add an external hard drive for more storage. However, it does not really need any extra storage, as it comes with a free year of Microsoft’s Office 365 personal edition online software, including Office software such a Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, along with 1 terabyte of One Drive storage space for files in the cloud. I plan to backup all of my pictures from nearly 10 years of raising kids and 4 years of blogging with these features of the Nextbook 10.1.
Overall, this Nextbook 10.1 Tablet is a wonderful addition to the options for tech lovers who need a wide range of capabilities. It allows for playing and being productive, as well. The touch screen technology combine with the keyboard for a better writing experience and a better overall experience. It is lightweight, and at $179, it cannot be beaten.
