Those of you with school-age children know how hard it can be to find quality clothes at a great price. There are so many clothing stores that carry cheaply made clothes that fall apart too quickly. When you find a store with high quality clothes, the prices can be shockingly high.
When my older daughter was accepted into a local charter school, I immediately started the search for her uniforms. I looked at over 10 stores, including trendy stores at the local mall, department stores, discount stores and online stores.
I ended up buying uniform shirts, skirts, shorts and jumpers from seven stores. After a year of Kindergarten, I can tell you that most of the clothes didn’t hold up very well. Most of the items that did were from French Toast. Everything we bought there still looks great and can be worn again next year.
French Toast has a huge selection of clothing and accessories, from slacks, shirts and skirts to knee socks and hair bows. Many of their items would also be great for children who don’t wear uniforms, like their polo shirts and shorts. And the prices are amazing. For the price of two items at some other stores, you can get three or four at French Toast. Check out the difference in prices for similar items:
Short Sleeve White Poplin Blouse: French Toast $8.98 Old Navy $12.50
Girls twill uniform jumper: French Toast $8.98 Old Navy $16.50
Total for Girls French Toast $17.96 Old Navy $29.00
Boys Long Sleeve Oxford Shirt: French Toast $9.98 Gap $24.50
Flat Front Shorts: French Toast $9.98 Gap $19.95
Total for Boys: French Toast $19.96 Gap $44.45
We were given the opportunity to try some cute new items from French Toast: the Short Sleeve Ribbon Bow Blouse, the Pleated Scooter Skirt with Square Buckle Belt, Sweater Vest with White Stripe and navy knee socks. They are all nicely made and seem to be very durable. I ordered everything a little large so my daughter can wear them next year and they seem to run true to size. She said everything was very comfortable and I thought it looked adorable.
Aren’t they cute? Overall, we were very pleased with everything from French Toast. They have an amazing selection in sizes 2T to 20, including Slim and Plus sizes. If your child’s school requires uniforms, you can easily find the school’s dress code on the French Toast website. Check out French Toast online and see what they have for you. Be sure to sign up for their emails to get discounts!
