Dial NutriSkin for Winter Skin Relief #CBias #DialNutriSkin

You may remember me talking about my skin in the past.  I’ve had a lot of problems with my skin in the past and am always on the lookout for any product that can bring relief.  In the winter, my problem is dry skin.  The cold air outside and dry heat inside make my skin so dry it cracks.  It’s horrible!

Over the years I’ve bought a lot of different types of lotions.  I’ve bought expensive boutique-type lotions that ended up smelling amazing, but doing little else. I’ve also bought cheaper lotions to save money. Inevitably, those lotions end up being runny or don’t absorb and moisturize.  I’ve started to pay a lot of attention to which brands make quality lotions and stick with products that work.

When I found out that Dial™ had a new line of skin lotions called NutriSkin™, I was interested.  I trust the Dial™ brand and wanted to see how the lotion held up compared to others I’ve tried lately.  There was a Dial™ NutriSkin™ demonstration going on for a few days at my local Walmart, so I headed over to check out the new products.

I love demos at Walmart.  I am one of those crazy people at Walmart  grocery shopping with 8 thousand other people on the weekend just because we love the demos.  It is so frustrating to spend our hard-earned money on a new product and then get it home and find out we don’t like it.  Or even worse, that it doesn’t do what the ads or packaging claim it does.  With the in-store demos, I can try all sorts of products before buying them.  There are usually three different demo people at my Walmart on the weekends and I’ve tried everything from hot tea and cookies to heartburn medicine.  With some of the demos, I end up passing on the product.  But with quite a few of them, I like the products and will eventually end up buying them. Demos are a great way to try before you buy!

With the Dial™ NutriSkin™, the demo was done by a really sweet woman.  She showed me all of the different types of NutriSkin™ lotions and explained the differences.  Those dark gray bottles are the NutriSkin™ for Men lotions and she said she’d sold a lot of them. She couldn’t believe how many men were trying it and asking for coupons.  I was able to try a few of the NutriSkin™ lotions and liked them all.

I didn’t really notice much of a scent with any of them, but they were all nice and thick and made my skin feel moisturized immediately.

As you can see, there is quite a selection of Dial™ NutriSkin™ lotion.  There were three different sizes and six different types from what I saw.  I knew I’d either want the “Dry Skin” or the “Extra Dry Skin” lotion, so I looked for a couple of minutes at all of the choices.

I ended up buying the “Dry Skin” NutriSkin™ because it was on sale, but wondered if I’d regret not getting the “Extra Dry Skin” bottle.  So far, though, the Dry Skin has kept my hands, arms and legs moisturized and stopped the itching I normally have from dry skin.  Even the areas where I have more sensitive skin have felt better with the Dial™ NutriSkin™ lotion. I’m really pleased with it!

The Color, Click, Capture Photography Challenge – Week 4 – Green

Welcome to Week 4 of the Color, Click, Capture photography challenge hosted by East9thStreetA Helicopter MomNap Time Is My Time and Sunshine and Sippy Cups!

Our color this week is GREEN.

Here is my green photo:

This week’s photography tips comes from Emily Anderson of Emily Anderson Photography. Emily has been photographing children and families in the Northeast Arkansas area for several years.

Don’t forget the details. Include more than just one image of the overall view. A wide shot of the entire object or scene may be necessary, but you can make it more interesting by including detail shots, too. Take a close up of an interesting button on a sewing project or one corner of the cake you baked, showing the texture of the icing. It can be very tempting to snap one or two images when you are in a hurry to get them uploaded to the computer for a blog or Facebook post, but challenge yourself to take several different images. This also applies to photographing people. Think about what details tell the story – wrinkled hands, grass-stained jeans, flip-flop tan lines, etc. You may find that you can take several different images in a row before you run out of ideas. Don’t give up then. Keep shooting. That’s when you turn on your creativity.

Want to participate in our challenge?  It’s super easy!  Here’s how it works:
  1. Take a picture the represents the color of the week.
  2. Write a blog post that features your picture and link it up.
  3. Visit other people’s posts and hopefully find some inspiration!
  4. You can put the button and link code on your blog if you wish but it’s not a requirement
Our color for next week is BLUE.

AlexaHop – Drop Your #Alexa Ranking!

.

Welcome to Week Forty of the Alexa Blog Hop that I host with Sarah of Moose Tracks and Tater Stacks. The Alexa Blog Hop was created to gain new followers and friends while helping you

LOWER YOUR ALEXA RATING!

Alexa is a listing of all sites on the Web, sorted by traffic… The closer to #1 you are, the better. For instance, Google is #1, Facebook is #2, YouTube is #3, etc. The traffic rank is based on traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and other, diverse traffic data sources.

This means that the more visitors and comments you get from Alexa Toolbar users, the lower your score!

Here’s how it works:

1. In order to participate, you MUST have the Alexa Toolbar (having one also greatly helps lower your score.) You can download it in just seconds HERE.

2. Please follow each of the hosts in the #1 and #2 spots on facebook, twitter or Google+. Please leave a comment letting each host know that you are following her. If you’re already following us one way, please follow us on another social media linked from our homepage (twitter, facebook, etc.) and leave a comment to let us know you did.

3. When you visit a blog, in order for the Alexa and bounce rate to drop you MUST allow the page to fully load then click a second page. Following and commenting are not required but is a nice gesture!

4. Follow any other blog on the list that you’d like. If someone else visits and comments on your blog, please consider doing the same for them. It’s the nice thing to do. =)

5. Add the Hop Button to your blog if you’d like (it’s appreciated but not mandatory.)

6. Feel free to tweet or share this however you’d like. The more people that know about the hop means more potential followers and a LOWER ALEXA SCORE for you!

Every Monday a new linky will be posted and will stay open all week long so you have time to hop around and visit the other blogs. Join in on the fun and watch your Alexa Ranking improve!
