Whether you’ve had an exciting day at the Universal Orlando Resort parks or are just in the Orlando area and want something awesome for dinner, CityWalk is the place for you.
Universal CityWalk is a 30-acre nighttime entertainment complex with dozens of clubs, restaurants and shops. It’s just outside of the gates to the thrill parks, so no ticket or admission is needed to enjoy CityWalk. You can spend the day there, enjoying the shopping and dining, or head over in the evening for a night of fun.
With over 20 restaurants to choose from, guests can find everything from quick eats to more formal sit-down restaurants and cuisine to satisfy every taste.
On my recent Family Forward trip to Orlando, we made sure to visit the very cool CowFish restaurant at CityWalk. It’s an innovative dining experience that brings a fresh, delicious and very unique menu to Orlando.
CowFish is a one-of-a-kind dining experience, from neon virtual fishtanks and alcohol-spiked milkshakes to their famous “Burgurshi”, a cutting edge fusion of burger and sushi. sushi joins forces with creative burgers
Since we had the whole family, we ordered a lot of appetizers, dishes and desserts to try and share. Everything was so fresh, so full of flavor and so different from what we’ve had before. It was awesome! My husband had a banana and peanut butter burger that was bigger than my head, I had the best veggie burger I’ve ever tasted, and we all dug in to other impressive entrées.
Doesn’t it look amazing? After our appetizers, entrées, cocktails, milkshakes and desserts, we were stuffed! Imagine that.
Since it was getting kinda late, my husband and the kids decided to head back to the hotel for a quiet night. I joined a couple of other women in our group and we decided that it was our duty to check out the nightlife. I knew you would want to know about the bars and clubs, so I went. Just for you.
There are all sorts of bars, clubs and entertainment to choose from, including Blue Man Group shows, Hollywood Drive-In Golf, Live Music and more.
We walked around and checked out all of the nightlife and decided to start at Rising Karaoke.
Now I’ll be honest. Karaoke where I live is not good. It’s usually a bunch of really bad, really drunk people who think they can sing. It’s not impressive, fun or even mildly amusing. It’s so bad usually, that the last time I was here at Universal, I avoided Rising Star like the plague.
BUT. Who knew?
Turns out that Rising Star is so different, so much better than other karaoke bars.
We had fun watching the show, singing along with two full stories of people.
So much fun, in fact, that we stayed there for a couple of hours, instead of stopping in for a drink and then moving on. Good times.
From the meals and the shopping to the nightlife and the fun, CityWalk was a blast. I haven’t had so much fun in a loooooong time and can’t wait to go back!
If you’re in the Orlando area, be sure to see what CityWalk Orlando has in store for you!
