I have like 8 hairs on my head. It’s superfine and superthin and pitiful.
My daughters, on the other hand, have crazy thick hair. It’s healthy and thick and full. And thick.
And it can be really hard to manage. Here is my younger daughter’s hair when she wakes up. (Clean hair, washed, dried and brushed before bedtime the night before.)
It’s crazy.
Her hair gets matted and tangled so easily. She has a silky pillow that’s supposed to help, but it obviously doesn’t work. We can’t wash her hair in the morning because it takes too long to dry.
So we’re left with detanglers.
We’ve tried almost everything on the market. Many detanglers don’t really help at all. Most of the others leave my daughters’ hair dirty because we have to completely saturate their hair for the detanglers to work at all. Even then, they don’t work all that well.
So when we tried the detangler from (a new line of salon formula kids hair care products available at Target), I was kind of expecting the same thing.
We sprayed a little on:
Not too much, just a few sprays on each side and a few more in the back.
Then brushed:
So far, so good. Really good, in fact.
The hair was much easier to brush through and my daughter didn’t cry or say “ouch” AT ALL.
But would it leave the hair looking sticky, wet or dirty?
I sent her up to get dressed for the day and a few minutes later, this is how her hair looked:

I can’t even tell you how amazing this is for her hair!
It sounds horrible to compare her hair to a dog’s fur, but it’s so thick and completely unmanageable, that’s what it reminds me of. The fact that we’ve finally found a detangler that works and works well is seriously exciting!
I actually went back to Target and bought the last 2 bottles they had on the shelf, that’s how much I love it. (They’ll be getting more, of course, but I didn’t want to run out.) We will be using the SoCozy Detangler every day from now on!
