I have two daughters who love to play soccer, so we’re all huge fans of the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team. It’s important for the girls to have strong, healthy and positive athletic role models and that’s exactly what they have in the U.S. Women’s team.
This weekend, in a wonderful tribute to the moms of those great players, U.S. Soccer had a touching surprise for the U.S. Women’s National Team.
On Saturday night, as the team prepared for their game, their typical team meeting and dinner took a dramatic turn when the featured guests turned out to be none other than the players’ mothers. The next day, instead of taking the field with youth soccer players as they normally would, the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team escorted their moms out onto the field.
It was a touching and heartwarming tribute to Mother’s Day and to the moms across America.
