I can not believe how quickly this year is flying by! It seems like the kids just tracked out of school and we had a long, fun summer ahead of us. Now we are all focused on end-of-summer tasks that aren’t quite as much fun. Between doctor appointments, sleep schedules, carpool plans, and school activity preparation, there hasn’t been much fun over the last week.
Except for one thing – back-to-school shopping!
My kids have always had a blast choosing their backpacks, lunchboxes, and water bottles. But they’ve all gotten to the age now when they want to also choose their clothes. Even my youngest boy has very strong opinions about what he wants to wear. That can make clothes shopping a bit more complicated!
Thankfully, I got lucky while we were out shopping. I was running to Kohl’s to pick up a few items for myself and thought we should check out the kids clothing while we were there. Jackpot!
Since the girls seem to have more clothes than they can wear in a year (how does that keep happening?!), I shopped more for my son. He needed some nice shirts and shorts for school, as well as comfortable tee-shirts and casual shorts for play. Kohl’s has a great line of Polo uniform essentials, so we grabbed several shirts and dress shorts while we shopped.
Denim and jeans are a definite ‘must have’ for school, of course, so we made sure to check out the denim. Kohl’s carries lots of great brands of denim, including SONOMA , Levi’s, Urban Pipeline, SO, and Mudd. The girls found adorable jeans, denim skirts and denim shorts that they both loved!
For tops, the kids found all sorts of graphic tees and character shirts that they wanted. My oldest daughter loved the vintage and feminine tees in juniors, my younger daughter wanted every.single.thing. in the Descendants 2 line, and my little boy loved the character tees.
We focused on dressier tops and shorts for school right now, but saw some awesome activewear that the kids loved for the weekends. Kohl’s carries great brands like Under Armour, SO, Madden Girl, Nike, Adidas, and Tek Gear, so there was something for everyone. Whenever we need sweatshirts, casual tees or moisture-wicking gear for exercise in the future, Kohl’s will be the place to shop. Kohl’s also carries huge shoe brands like Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, Converse, Stride Rite, Sketchers, Vans, New Balance, and Asics, so we will definitely be back for great shoes in the fall.
In addition to great clothes for all of the kids, Kohl’s also carries all of the essentials needed for school. Kids can find everything from character backpacks to underwear and socks in all their favorite styles and brands. We found some adorable little bracelet sets that the girls are planning to wear their first day back to school, and my little boy found a cute book to share with his class.
We had a hugely successful shopping trip at Kohl’s and will definitely head there for back-to-school shopping in the future. Kohl’s is truly a one-stop-shop for all of our back-to-school needs.
