Are you all almost ready for Christmas? I started so early (for me) this year. I actually went out at midnight on Black Friday and started my shopping. I spent 6 hours on my feet with the crazies and only ended up with some sweaters and a few toys. And the sweaters are all for me. 😛
Since then, I’ve done nothing. I don’t have ideas for anyone other than my kids. I don’t even have my own wish list written, which is driving my husband crazy. I think I’d love a Stephen King book and a week to sleep. I keep telling people that I need to get on the ball and I keep thinking about what to buy everyone, but haven’t actually done it. Between free shipping day (for participating businesses on December 16th) and the online sales and deals I’ve been finding, I might actually not step foot in the Mall again this year.
I’d love to get the rest of my shopping done online. It’s hard to get all three kids out to the Mall and all of the other shoppers seem so stressed out and rude this time of year. It’s easier to stay home and shop online after the kids go to bed. I always do a quick search for coupon codes when I have something specific to buy, but when I’m just browsing for ideas I like to check out sites like Savings.com. I have a lot of people I’m going to buy for this year that I have no idea what to get for, so it’s nice to see a lot of deals in one place and choose ones that would work for presents.
How about you? Are you all close to being finished with your shopping?
I’m not planning on doing any shopping as we are not in the position to even celebrate! I wish I could buy gifts for my family though!
