I love shopping for my home. It’s so fun to find a great piece of art or a cool box that you just know would be perfect in your house. It’s even better when you find an entire collection that you love and getting lots of great home decor ideas from it!
Home Decor Ideas
World Market has a collection of home decor items right now that I absolutely love, called the African Safari collection. It’s not a loud, crazy, leopard-print line of decor that some stores might carry as their African Safari line. Instead it has lots of beautiful pieces in earthtone colors and made from natural materials like wood and cotton. The pieces are subtle and tasteful, but still have that wonderful Safari theme throughout.
I headed to my local World Market today and was so excited to see the African Safari collection in person. It’s so pretty!
I would love to have a huge trunk like this at the end of our bed. It’s so pretty inside, I’d want it propped open with pillows and blankets too.
Look at these little basket shelves – they’re so nice! I thought it was one big piece, but it’s actually 3 stacked up. I don’t even know what I’d put in them, but they are so pretty I think I might have to buy them.
I ended up narrowing it down to just three World Market African Safari pieces today.
I’ve already put them on my built-ins and love them so much I want to go back for more. The earthtones and design of the pieces all suggest African Safari in a subtle and wonderful way and work so well with my home decor.
I put the little shelves on the mantel and the globe on the lower right shelf. I think they look really nice.
And I used the rugged wood frame on the bottom shelf on the left side. The natural colors look really pretty with the other pieces I have and the design is so interesting and unique.
Here’s the final look with my three new World Market African Safari pieces. I definitely want to go back and get some of the big baskets, shelves and a trunk. Maybe I’ll put a big basket to the side of the fireplace…
