Did you see this?  Doctors in China removed this spider from a woman’s ear. I’m not a fan of creepy crawly bugs, but one actually LIVING in my ear might be my worst nightmare.

A doctor was able to remove the spider, which was apparently living in a woman’s ear for FIVE days.

Something to think about when I’m falling asleep tonight….  : /

  4. Oh my goodness! That is so awful. I once saw a tv show about real ER stories. There was this man that was in there and every few minutes he would scream at the top of his lungs (like a girl – their words, not mine). The man’s wife came in and she was so baffled -she had never seen him act this way. He wouldn’t speak or move or anything. Finally, they were examining his scalp or something and a doctor noticed something in his ear. There was some sort of large pinching bug that had crawled in his ear. Every time it moved it was very painful and he was deathly afraid of whatever bug it was (I guess he knew what was in there).  The moment they took it out he stopped screaming and was completely fine!  What a nightmare!

  5. That is freaky but I don’t understand how someone could go like that for 5 days. Think I would be in there with tweezers or something, using a mirror or whatever to get that thing out. Yuck!

  6. This story really spooked me out. I’ve recently seen some spiders in my home that I would NEVER want in my ear! How creepy!!

  7. Oh my goodness. I have heard about ticks in ears before, but never spiders. I listen to my iPod while gardening to keep bugs out of my ears, but I never imagined that happening.

  9. Holy crap my ear has been itching for the last couple of weeks. Now I have to be concerned it”s NOT an earache. Hoping for a simple earache now foe sure.

  11. OMGosh-creepy-and I should never have looked at those pic’s-hope I can sleep to night-I always fear swallowing a spider while sleeping YIKES!

  13. OMG ! This is something that would have me FREAKING out so badly. 5 days. whhhoooohhhooo.
    God bless her she didn’t realize it. All you see anymore is stories with worms in someone’s eye, a worms living in someone’s infected leg and this spider in an ear. Too creepy.

  15. This is horrifying. I hate spiders and never thought about them crawling into mmy ears bbefore. I think I will sleep with earplugs in now.

  20. I told my Fiancee about this. He put cotton in his ears. I also told him that we also swallow spiders in our sleep.
