When I had my baby boy, we had a mother’s helper come in a couple of times a week to play with my daughters. It gave me some time to rest and have quiet time with the new baby and gave the girls a chance to have fun with a teenager they adored. I bought a lot of arts and crafts for them to do those afternoons and in the process started a bit of a tradition. We now have girls’ day every few weeks when we spend a few hours doing a fun craft together. It’s always fun because we all love crafts and it’s wonderful bonding time too.
A couple of weeks ago, the girls invited some friends over and we worked on this little diy gnome garden.
It’s so cute!! The kit came with everything we needed, so I didn’t have to figure out a craft and then buy everything myself. I’m all about finding ways to make my life a little easier these days.
The girls worked on the garden together and had a great time. They painted the toadstools and had so much fun arranging the little gnomes and garden pieces themselves.
They want to keep it on the screened porch for now and are already planning to make another for their friends (sisters) to take home. Here’s the final DIY Gnome Garden product:
Another favorite arts and crafts kit that the girls love is this Tile Art Necklace Kit:
The Tile Art Necklace Kit is definitely a hit with my girls. I was worried that they wouldn’t be able to put jewelry together, but the kit made it really easy.
The girls just chose their favorite patterned paper and traced, then cut out a square piece of it. They glued the paper to a tile and the glued a ribbon around the edge.
Then they each stuck a little self-adhesive gemstone on the front and we glued the hangers on the back and let everything dry. Once finished, the girls strung their brand new necklaces on the cords. They turned out really well:
We’re planning to work on the Deluxe Glitter Art Kit next weekend and are already looking forward to it!
I love that I can spend quality time having fun with the girls doing something I know that they’ll love. With the Creativity for Kids crafts kits, everything is included so the planning is done, we’re just left with the fun! We’ll definitely be doing a lot more of these in the future.
I would like to win it for my grandchildren.
my little boy would LOVE the seashell beach buddies kit!! I’d love to get that for him 🙂 *fingers crossed*
I was unable to enter the $50 Amazon giveaway you linked to because it ended like 2 weeks ago, so I never had a shot. I went ahead and took the entries though because this was thru no fault of my own. If that is not OK for some reason, please disregard my entries.
That is the cutest little Gnome garden! My grandson would love to create that with me!
I love the gnome garden! that would be a fun project with my kiddo.
They are easy for little hands to work on and it can last because it grows
Seeing these things makes me want to turn my home office into a craft room!!!
This is such a cute idea. My kids love anything tiny.. and a gnome or fairy garden is an adorable idea! This is great right now when I’m running low on ideas to keep them occupied indoors during the long Winter months.
Such a cute craft, I can’t wait till my daughter is old enough to do crafts like these so I can put all her crafts up on the wall or our bookshelf
I think it would be so cute to have a gnome garden designed by the kids.
