When my husband and I got married and started spending the holidays together, it was interesting to see which traditions we each we used to. One of the favorite holiday traditions for both of us is now one that we enjoy with our kids – making Christmas cookies.
The kids love to cut out fun shapes in the cookie dough and to decorate them once they’re cooked. We put lots of different colored icings, sprinkles and candy toppings on the table and they all go nuts decorating and having fun.
A little less fun?
Making all of that cookie dough.
The kids will “help” measure the ingredients for a minute or two, then they’re off running to play until it’s time for the cookie cutters. Which leaves me, in the kitchen, measuring and mixing, scraping and mixing, rolling and flouring and rolling. Definitely not as much fun.
Which is why I’m totally in love with the new Toll House rolled cookie dough!

The Rolled and Ready Cookie Dough is so easy to use!
They take all of the work out of making cookies and let me and the kids just enjoy the fun parts! And since I’m not slaving in the kitchen getting the dough made, I have time for other things – like cookie decorating of my own!
