When my husband and I built our house, we made sure to choose a family-friendly neighborhood. The street we live on is filled with couples who also have children. We’ve become friends with many of our neighbors over the years as our children have played and grown together.
One of our favorite neighborhood get-togethers happens every Halloween.

We had a great time as kids. Now we’re al grown up and can feel for Mom back then. There is a great deal of prep! Mom made the coolest costumes too. Our biggest challenge seems to be balancing healthy treats in the mix. We are going for 75% this year in hopes of getting at least 25!

Halloween can be a challenge where I grew up due to snowy weather. It can be difficult to look like a fairy princess when you need to be bundled up in a coat, hat and mittens!
