When I was a little girl I always looked forward to Sunday Night Supper. It was the one night a week that my entire family would gather together at my Grandma’s house to have dinner, play games, and enjoy being together. Grandma would spend all afternoon getting ready for supper – making everything from scratch. Even though Grandma spent all afternoon in the kitchen, she knew how important that time was with family.
Now that I am a Mom I often think about those Sunday night suppers when my family gathers together. I remember grandma putting the focus on the family while still serving a delicious and nutritious meal that everyone loved. As a busy Mom I do not have time to spend all afternoon in the kitchen the way Grandma did, but I still want to serve my family a good, healthy meal.

Oh my gosh I love mashed potatoes. When I was pregnant with my son I honestly ate them every day. I didn’t care whether they were real or instant. I would put anything on top of them included baked beans, spaghetti sauce, cheese, etc. People were always laughing and saying–what was on your mashed potatoes today.

You know…I LOVE mashed potatoes and am a bit of a snob when it comes to them, but when visiting my sister for dinner a couple of weeks ago, I kept complimenting her on how good her mashed taters were. I love these! I cook from scratch every day but also have some foods that are just quick and easy—these are! They taste exactly like homemade. These are great for thickening soups or roast gravies, too.
My kids love the Idahoan Mashed Potatoes! 90% of the time I cook everything from scratch, I love to cook and bake, grew up in the kitchen with my grandma, but on busy nights when the kids have gymnastics & soccer practices on the same night..
