The kids and I spend a lot of time in the car. A lot a lot.
They are all at different year-round school campuses, so the morning and afternoon carpools each take over an hour. That’s a long time to be sitting in a carseat.
And since the kids also have summer and after-school activities four weekdays out of five, their time in the car goes on even longer. When my oldest daughter has soccer, the other two are stuck with me in the car while we wait an extra 45 minutes after school. When my younger daughter has guitar, the other kids and I will run a few errands while we wait for her to finish.
It’s a daily schedule of carting the kids from one activity to the next, it seems. And I have to be prepared.
I’ve learned that our on-the-go life is a lot easier when we have everything we might need with us. I keep extra pencils in the glove compartment in case the kids need to work on homework. I have baby wipes in the seat back in case there is a mess. And I always, always, always make sure to have drinks and snacks ready for long waits and long drives in the car.
The drinks are easy – I just keep water bottles in a drawer under my seat where they stay cool. But snacks are harder. The snacks need to be something the kids all like, something easy and something that won’t make a mess.
So we’ve been enjoying Danimals® Smoothies – a nutritious and convenient snack that the kids all love. They’re perfect as a quick snack that can keep up with our busy schedules.
I just pop a few Dannon® Danimals® Smoothies in my basket and have them ready when the kids get hungry. They couldn’t be more perfect for our busy days out and about.
With fun flavors like Strawberry Explosion®, Wild Watermelon®, and Rockin’ Raspberry®, the smoothies are actually a healthy snack the kids are excited about – which, of course, this mom loves.
Right now, you can stock up on snack-size Danimals® Smoothies at Walmart – a 12-pack is under $5.00, and with Ibotta, you can save another $1.00. This Ibotta offer is also valid for the 18-pack too. Be sure to grab a pack for your next busy day on the go!
