When my husband and I got married, we decided that we’d like to have three kids, if possible. We built a house with enough rooms for three kids, picked out the perfect yard so the kids could play outside, and even added an extra space in the garage for the kids’ bikes, toys and sports equipment.
We thought we’d pretty much thought of everything.
Except.
Kids take up a crazy amount of space! We’ve ended up with toys and books and stuffed animals in places we never imagined, but we’ve made do until now. But there has been one area that no matter how much I reorganize, purge, or rearrange, we simple just have not had enough space – our fridge.
With three growing kids in the family, it seems like we can never keep enough food in the house. I used to go to the grocery store at least once a week to buy what we needed, but would get home and not have enough space in the fridge to store it all.
I’ve been eyeing my parents’ gorgeous GE fridge for a couple of years and have really wanted one. They have plenty of room for holiday casseroles, huge pizza boxes and enough drinks and food for our entire extended family when everyone visits. It’s exactly what I’ve wanted and knew I needed to eventually get one for our family.
And I’m SO excited to say…We finally got one. It’s HERE!!
We couldn’t make do with our old fridge any longer. Thankfully, our local hhgregg store came to the rescue. They have a full line of refrigerators with every feature we might possibly need for our family. We were able to choose a fridge that we knew would be perfect for our needs and couldn’t have been happier with the entire process. Everyone, from the salespeople in the store to the person calling to set up the delivery to the delivery men themselves, were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about our new fridge. It has been a great experience.

It actually brews our coffee for us. How awesome is that?! It’s actually the only fridge to brew Keurig K-cup Pods and it’s just the coolest thing ever. We can get a fresh, hot cup of coffee any time of day, and free up room on the kitchen counters. Not only that, but with GE connected technology, we can preset our coffee at the same time every morning or just set it in seconds with our smart phones when we wake up. By the time we get down to the kitchen, the water in the reservoir is ready and waiting. We love it!
The GE Café refrigerator with a Keurig Brewing System makes it easy for us to enjoy our favorite hot drinks whenever we want.
If the kids want hot chocolate or oatmeal for breakfast, or if I want to make a bowl of soup for lunch, I can make it with fresh, filtered hot water served at the perfect temperature. I just use the touchscreen to specify which of the pre-programmed common foods or drinks we want and the fridge takes care of the rest. Hot water is dispensed at a perfectly accurate temperature every time.
I don’t need to worry about the children getting burned by the hot water, thanks to the child-safety design of the water dispenser. In order to get access to the hot water, I have to push in and then turn the dial before the water will dispense. Even if my children played with the touch screen and tried to choose a temperature of water, they would not actually gain access to the hot water.
There are so many little bonus areas on the fridge that I didn’t even realize I wanted until I used them – like the pull-out shelf and extra-tall water and ice dispenser area for water bottles. I’d gotten used to picking up ice that fell all over the floor because I had to tilt my water bottle under our last fridge, but now I can fit everything easily under the dispenser.
There are customizable shelves and drawers so I can use more room where I need and leave the other section for the small items. I can not only fit more food into our new refrigerator and freezer sections, but I can see it and access it all much more easily.
Even with all of these awesome features, the GE Café refrigerator with a Keurig Brewing System still meets ENERGY STAR certification, meaning it meets the minimum efficiency standards for refrigerators and freezers and uses as much energy as a cell phone does to charge overnight. We could not be happier!
