A lot of you are probably familiar with Hard Candy’s everyday products, like the Tinted Moisturizers, Baked Blushes, Baked Bronzers and eyeshadows. They have a lot of great products in a range of colors to fit everyone.
The reason that I love Hard Candy? The funky stuff!
Hard Candy Make Up has some amazing options available, from lipgloss and mascara to seriously fun and funky eyeshadows and eyetattoos. And everything is under $10. Everything!
Here’s a look at a couple of Hard Candy items I was given the chance to try:

~ Hard Candy High Def Glitter Cream ~
This eyeshadow is cream eyeshadow with ultra pigmented fine glitter. It’s a fun eyeshadow packed in a cute test tube with a doe-foot shaped applicator wand. The consistency of the formula is rich and creamy with flecks of very fine glitter. It goes on smoothly and easily without any glitter fallout.

The eyeshadow has the perfect mixture of color base and glitter so one is not overpowering the other. It has a lot of pigmentation, so you can use just a little for a little for more subtle color and shimmer or use more for a striking, funky look. Although the Sequin High Def looks purple in the tube, it appears more Indigo blue on the eyes. High Def comes in 8 gorgeous colors.
I used a lot on my eyes to really show the color. This is High Def in Sequin.
It sets fairly quickly, so I made sure to work fast as I smoothed it over my eyelid. I kept the eye closed for about 30 seconds to be sure it didn’t smear. Once dry, it is set. I wore it for over 4 hours and didn’t notice any smudging, smearing or melting. When I was ready to take it off, it came off easily with make-up remover.
Overall, I loved this product! I was actually sent just the High Def in Sequin. After trying it, I went back out and bought it in Liar (olive). As soon as Ditch (copper) and Sprinkles (hot pink) are back in stock at my local Wal-Mart, I’ll be buying those too. I really like how I can use a little bit for less color and sparkle, or dial it up for a dramatic, funky club look! I can’t wait to try all of the colors.

Pros:
Cute, fun test-tube packaging – love it!
Amazing price – only $6
Good consistency and texture
8 Rich pigments, color can be built up from a little colorful sheen to a bold, glittery look
Long Lasting, smudge-proof
No glitter fallout or fading
Cruelty free, not tested on animals
Cons:
Because it sets quickly, you won’t have a lot of time to play around with your look. I found it very easy to use from the first application, but if you’re less comfortable with cream shadows, you may need a few practice attempts.

~ Glossaholic – Sequin Saturated Shine Lip Gloss in Fireball ~
At first glance, the Fireball red color was a little intimidating. Once I tried Glossaholic on, though, I was relieved. The lipgloss has a nice hint of color infused with reflective prisms of pearl to make lips shimmer. It comes with a huge applicator that covers your lip with one swipe.

I don’t wear a lot of lipstick unless I’m going out my friends. Even then, I usually add just a bit of lipstick for color with a great gloss on top. Hard Candy’s Glossaholic is perfect for me. I can throw it in my purse for a hint of color and shine during the day or use a thicker coat for a sparkle at night.
I’ve used the Glossaholic for several days in a row now, and have been really pleased. It doesn’t last quite as long as my MAC lipglass, but it isn’t tacky or sticky like MAC either. I’d rather use a quick touch-up of Glossaholic every few hours than use lipglass and end up with all of it stuck to strands of my hair….
.
Pros:
A subtle hint of color with super sparkle
The price – only $5 for a large 0.38 ounce tube
Not sticky or tacky
Cruelty free, not tested on animals
Cons:
Not a lot of color if you’re looking for a bolder, pigmented gloss
Not as long lasting as some glosses, but will get you through several hours.
.
My final verdict?
Love! I’ll be buying the other 6 High Def Eyeshadows as soon as I can find them in stock. The Glossaholic is the perfect shade for me. I’ll stick with it and will definitely buy it again when it runs out.

Great review. The bold, blue eye shadow colors are a little too much for me. But I definitely think it looks vivid for those who love bright eye shadow!

Those look really good. I just assumed they didn’t work well because of the price, but I’m definitely going to buy some and try them now. I love that green shadow and pink gloss.
