The holiday season is here! How did that happen so quickly?
I was just telling some friends the other night that when I was a mom of one child, I had my stuff together. I was class mom, lunch mom, ready for everything and on top of my game. Now that I’m a mom of three, I’m…frazzled.
I’m not on top of anything, forgetting everything, and feel like I’m putting out fires instead of being proactive.
Instead of having the perfect teachers’ gifts ready a week before school lets out, it seems like I’m rushing out to grab gift cards the last hour of the school year. And when we’re heading to holiday parties to visit with family and friends, I often bring a bottle of wine, but end up feeling like my hostess gift is less than impressive.
But THIS year I’m ready. I’m on top of my game. And I’m so excited!
Check out these gorgeous gift baskets I made all by myself!
They were so easy to make and ended up being really inexpensive too. I’m thrilled!
I’ve wanted to get back into giving more thoughtful, homemade type gifts and now have the perfect solution. A personalized DIY basket full of yummy treats is perfect for those friends and family who have invited me to their homes to celebrate the season.
Time is tight during the holidays, so it’s important to be realistic about how much time I’ll have to shop for gifts. Instead of making countless cookies or searching different stores for gifts, I headed straight to my local club store.
There were some fun pre-made gift baskets and I might end up picking up a few before Christmas. But for this project, I wanted to create DIY Hostess Gift Baskets and knew what I had in mind.
I headed to the holiday aisles and chose some pretty cookies and treats, swung by the popcorn popping station (awesome!) and grabbed some freshly popped caramel corn, chose a set of holiday mug gifts, and then found a beautiful holiday ribbon to decorate the baskets.
When I got home, I just separated the various packs of gifts and goodies, then placed them into the various baskets.
Putting the baskets together was so simple! It took only minutes to completely put my gift baskets together.
I love how they turned out!
There are so many great items at club stores that are perfect for DIY gifts and gift baskets. You can find bakery items, bulk-sized treats, small gifts, and even packaging and decorations. Instead of spending time and effort driving to multiple stores this year, I took care of everything with one stop. And I loved being able to create easy, inexpensive gifts with a personalized, DIY touch!
Happy Holidays, everyone!

Your gift baskets are great, way better than the professional $80 ones with better treats inside, especially since you can personalize the. Did you get the baskets from like an AC Moore. If planned ahead can probably find these baskets super cheap at yard sales, thrift stores and using Michaels/ AC Moore coupons.

The gift basket looks great. I am making my grandma a gift basket this year. I won tea from Revolution’s Teas 12 Days of Christmas giveaway. I bought some special holiday snacks at Aldi’s last week to add to the basket. I still have to add a couple of more things to it, wrap cellophane over it, and tie it with a big bow.
