When my new Brandcation friends and I headed to the Lumberjack Feud, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I assumed there would just be men competing against each other in log chopping, throwing, climbing, eating, etc. I thought it would probably be fun and was looking forward to it.
It was SO much more than what I imagined! There was definitely a lot of manly-man competition, but it was all turned into a show with teams and characters and a few little skits in between. I’m not normally the kind of person that laughs at loud at dinner shows. I often see the punchline coming and am amazed at the people who are screaming with laughter and surprise. But the Lumberjack Feud had me laughing out loud.
But beyond the fun and the laughs, my favorite part was definitely seeing the skills of the lumberjacks. The sheer strength and skill in the different feats were so impressive.
We saw logrolling, tree climbing, axe throwing and chainsaw carving and cutting. It was really cool to be so close to the action!
As the show began, the audience was divided and each side of the stage was a Family. The entire show was then based on the competition of The Dawson Family vs. The McGraw Family. We rooted and cheered for our guys in the competitions and booed theirs. Everyone really got into it and it was a lot of fun.
While we were these, we also enjoyed a dinner. I got the vegetarian, which was veggies, pasta and the strawberry shortcake dessert. My friends had ribs, chicken, mac & cheese and strawberry shortcake. Our server was wonderful and did a great job making sure everyone had refilled drinks and all of the correct orders. Show attendees can also see the Lumberjack Feud without having dinner, so be sure to check into your options if you’re heading to a show.
If you’re in the Pigeon Forge area or will be travelling there soon, I’d definitely recommend a show at the Lumberjack Feud. It was really a great evening and I think it would be just as much fun for men, women and kids! Don’t forget to stay for a while after the show to get autographs and pictures with your favorite lumberjacks!

This looks like a lot of fun! We are going to Gatlinburg for Christmas and we were trying to decide if we should do a dinner show or not, but its between the Lumberjack Feud or Hatfield & McCoy Family Feud!
