Am I the last person on Earth to discover the slow cooker?
Although I grew up helping my mother cook and bake, I never once saw her use a slow cooker. So I never tried one. I’m always in a rush, so the thought of taking an extra loooong time to make something seemed silly.
But now I get it.
I made the most amazing Moroccan Spiced Stew with Chicken in my slow cooker today and it couldn’t have been easier.
Place chicken in slow cooker.
Pour Campbell’s Slow Cooker sauce over the chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours.
My part in making the Moroccan Spiced Stew took about a minute.
I like that putting that kind of effort into my cooking. 😉
When it was ready at dinner time, I made some rice, steamed some green beans and my easy weeknight dinner was ready.
It was so easy! And so good.
I wasn’t sure how Moroccan Spiced Stew would taste, but my husband and I really enjoyed it. It had a bit of a tangy ginger and lemon flavor.
I’ll definitely be making it again soon.
Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauces come in six easy slow cooker recipe flavors:
• Apple Bourbon BBQ
• Hawaiian Luau
• Sweet Korean BBQ
• Tavern Style Pot Roast
• Moroccan Spiced Stew
• Mexican Red Chile Taco
All of the sauces are just as easy to use as the Moroccan Spiced Stew. Just add your meat and sauce and let the slow cooker do the rest.
Of course, you can add your own veggies or ingredients to the slow cooker too (but that would require more effort….)
I was THIS CLOSE to making the Apple Bourbon BBQ instead of the Moroccan Spiced Stew, but only had chicken and no beef. But now that I’ve seen how easy and good the sauces can be, I’ll definitely be playing around with them and using other meats if I want.
