I have had problems with my skin since I was about 25. Out of the blue, I started getting horrible, itchy rashes on my skin that wouldn’t go away. I tried lotions, creams, salves, over-the-counter products and home remedies. I went to lots of different specialists, was given blood tests and allergy tests and treated with lots of prescriptions from steroids to topical creams. I was told it could be an allergic reaction to something in my environment or it could be an extreme case of a skin condition like eczema. I couldn’t think of anything during the day but how uncomfortable I was. At night, I had to sleep with gloves on my hands to keep from scratching my skin raw while I slept. I was absolutely miserable for a few months.
The worst of the rashes eventually passed and haven’t ever flared up that badly again, thank goodness. I do get flare ups of typical eczema from time to time now and while it’s not as severe as the past occurance, it can be really uncomfortable. My younger daughter also has had a few bouts of really itchy dry skin and I worry that she may have eczema too. I’ve tried lots of different lotions and creams on my skin and sometimes my daughter’s, but most don’t do anything to help the discomfort or itching. Some lotions make it worse.
Neosporin has a new line of products called Neosporin Essentials that is designed to relieve and help prevent flare-ups of eczema.
The name Neosporin has become a well known and trusted name in skin relief and I was thrilled when I found out they were making a product to help with eczema. I’m not comfortable putting a lot of products on my daughter’s skin, but trust that a product from Neosporin specifically for eczema would be safe for her skin.
I received the Neosporin Essentials Trial Pack for review and immediately started using the daily moisturizing cream. It’s nice and thick, but not greasy at all. It made my skin feel smoother and more hydrated and helped relieve the itching I’ve been having lately from the cold winter air and dry indoor heat.
Once I’d tried it for a few days without any problems, I used it on my daughter’s skin. She has small patches on her arms and legs that seem dry and itchy a lot, so we’ve started putting the Neosporin daily moisturizing cream a couple of times every day. We’ve also been using the Daily Body Wash instead of the body wash she used to use. She hasn’t had a problem with itching since we started. I’m really happy with the results so far. We haven’t even had an opportunity to use the Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream yet, but will use it as soon as one of us has a flare up.
If you or a loved one suffers from Eczema, you can find the Neosporin Essentials in your local store’s first aid aisle or at any of these locations.
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Neosporin Essentials and received a product sample to facilitate my review, and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Thanks for the post. My mother suffers from Eczema so she will be happy to hear about this.
Like yourself I developed eczema out of the blue 5 years ago. I will give Neosporin Essential a shot as I am so tired of all the prescription medications that really do not work for me. Thanks so much for your thoughts on this product.
