The Fun
Brain Chase is an awesome summer challenge that combines learning with a scavenger hunt and awards a HUGE prize to the winner. Kids all over the country will be joining in on the fun, completing leaning assignments as they go.
The Prize
There is an actual golden Sunstone of Cortés and $10,000 buried somewhere on Earth. Adventurers use the clues and riddles earned through challenges to try to locate the treasure. Every 24 hours, they can log in to enter their guess of the treasure’s location. The first adventurer to guess the location within a two-mile radius will travel with his/her family to the treasure site to claim the gold and a $10,000 grand prize scholarship!
The Flexibility
Whether your kids are at home for the summer, traveling to visit relatives or even off at summer camp for a week, they can join in Brain Chase. In fact, the learning challenge is a great way to supplement summer outdoor fun with positive, educational screen time. The participants all commit to doing about five hours of focused online academic work each week for five weeks. But since the curriculum is online, they can actually complete the work whenever, wherever and in whatever order they want. And if a child falls behind, they can catch up on the work from previous weeks when they have time.
The Details
The challenge works with a high-speed internet connection on the latest versions of Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari web browsers. All of the math, language and reading assignments are available on tablets, too. (Writing assignments are more easily completed on a laptop or desktop.) The other challenge tools will be sent to your child straight from Brain Chase.
Registration
To register your child for Brain Chase, you can take advantage of the premium pricing package which includes Brain Chase registration plus a Brain Chase-branded adventure backpack, a Brain Chase t-shirt and a Sunstone of Cortés patch. The premium pricing package is $249 for the first registration, and then $149 for each sibling. If you’d prefer the regular pricing package, registration is $199 for the first child and $100 for each sibling.
