Our family was thrilled when we learned that the Minions would be back in a new movie this year. We already own both of the Despicable Me movies and my husband and I knew the kids would love Minions too. As soon as we heard that it would be playing at the local drive-in theater, we made sure to go the very first night, and are planning to see it again soon in a regular theater.
We’re serious Minion fans, y’all.
So when I found out that there was a Minions Twinkie Kit, I could just imagine the kids freaking out.
Not just Minions. Not just Twinkies. But actual, delicious, wonderful Twinkies that come with a Minion decorating kit. With edible Minion stickers.
So cool!
The kits come with 16 yummy Twinkies and lots of fun little edible stickers that go right on the cake. Kids can switch up the stickers to make crazy Minions or match up the outfits and create a Minion from the movie.
The stickers come off of the paper and stick to the Twinkies easily, so even my younger son was able to decorate by himself.
My kids had a great time choosing their Minion designs! They all wanted to save them for a little while before eating them. I got a LOT of pictures of each child with her/his Minion, all of the Minions, all of the kids and the Minions, etc. They had a great time with them!
My little boy was so excited to be able to eat the stickers too. He didn’t really get it at first, even though I’d tried to explain that they were edible. But when he saw his big sisters eating the entire Minions, stickers and all, he was so tickled.
As if the Minion twinkie thing wasn’t neat enough, he also got to eat his very first edible sticker too. Soooo cool for a little kid!
We all had a blast with the Twinkie Minion Decorating Kits and will definitely have to buy more.
