Back to School Giveaway

Many of you are just starting to enjoy your summer breaks, with weeks of no carpool or packing lunches. Since my kids are in year-round school, we have only a few more weeks of relaxation before they’ll be heading back to class. It seems that we have barely unpacked last year’s backpacks when it’s suddenly time to do our back-to-school shopping for the next year.

I remember the excitement of heading back to school like it was yesterday. At the end of summer, I would go through my school supplies over and over, arranging and rearranging the items. I’d make sure my name was written neatly on everything (with a pink or purple glitter pen, of course!). My favorite memory though, was choosing my outfit for the first day back to school. I’d lay the best outfit on my bed for day one, then have the next few favorite outfits arranged on hangers in my closet for the rest of the first week. That’s still such a fond and vivid memory for me.

My kids have to wear uniforms so they don’t quite understand my love for back-to-school clothing. But I do try to find fun school supplies and gear for them to look forward to using, like locker decorations and accessories to dress up their uniforms in their own styles.
