As I described a few weeks ago, Santa needed a little help this year. My daughters have this beautiful Disney Princess Ultimate Dream Castle Dollhouse on their Christmas wish list.
Since my husband owns a small business and I blog, our incomes are fairly steady but not routine. Because of that, some months we have a lot more money for bills and expenses than we do in other months. We do our best to save and plan ahead, but sometimes expenses pop up that we’re not quite ready for.
So in order to help Santa out a little, I headed to Walmart to put the castle on layaway.
I paid a little under $20 to start the layaway process for the Disney Princess Ultimate Dream Castle and was finished in just a couple of minutes. It was a really easy process and when I finished I got a long receipt with all of the information and my payment.
After coming home and talking with Santa to be sure this was the perfect present, I headed back to Walmart a few days later. I decided to go ahead and pay off the layaway and take the castle home to hide.
After paying the rest of the balance, I got a Walmart gift card refund of my $5 Layaway fee. So once the layaway is paid off, I wasn’t out any fees or money but the actual purchase price and tax, which I loved.
I loaded up our new Disney Princess Ultimate Dream Castle into the car and was finished with my trip.
The entire layaway process at Walmart was so easy and simple that I know I’ll be using it again in the future. It’s great for people like my husband and me who don’t have a steady paycheck since he owns his own business. The Walmart layaway program will let us pay for Holiday presents a little at a time whenever we’re able to, which is perfect!
