It’s hot outside and there’s nothing better on a hot day than a cold treat. So I’ve joined the other Nature’s Sleep ambassadors to bring you lots of them.
We’ve made lots of yummy homemade ice creams over the past few years, but we decided that this summer, we wanted something even more fun – a homemade ice cream cake! Filled with layers of cake, ice cream, icing crushed cookies and more, this cake is easy to make, but tastes just as amazing as an ice cream cake you’ve tried before!

Easy Homemade Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients
.
14 ounces of Oreo Cookies, crushed and divided
1 ¾ Quarts of Vanilla Ice Cream (Other flavors may be substituted. Use boxed ice cream if possible.)
1 can Chocolate Fudge Frosting
1 boxed cake mix prepared as instructed and baked in 9×13 pan
8 ounces whipped topping

Directions

Spread half of the crushed Oreos over the bottom of a 9×13 pan
Slice ice cream and place over the Oreos, creating a layer of ice cream across the pan
Remove the foil from the frosting container and warm in a microwave for 15 seconds. Stir, then microwave for another 15 seconds. Stir. Frosting should be pourable. If not, microwave again for 10 seconds and stir again. Pour frosting over top of ice cream.
Add baked cake onto frosting. Cut cake into pieces if needed, then reassemble on top of frosting.
Spread whipped topping over the cake layer.
Sprinkle remaining Oreo cookies over the top.
Freeze at least 4 hours before serving.

This cake sounds delicious, I make the ice cream cake you can make with ice cream sandwiches and they are good, but this sounds even better.
