If you’re like me, you have various favorite foods for the different seasons. I love warm soup on a chilly fall afternoon, heavier pasta dishes in the freezing cold winter, and lighter meals of salads and fruits in the spring and summer.
Summer meals are my favorite though, by far. I love being able to get all of my favorite fresh fruits and veggies whenever I want. Whether I’m able to get to the local farmers’ market or choosing from my favorite grocery store, it’s wonderful to have such a huge selection of ripe berries, crisp heads of romaine lettuce and juicy tomatoes.
I buy a crazy amount of fresh produce in the summer to use in recipes or just to enjoy on its own – ripe, flavorful, delicious, and perfect for healthier snacks and meals!
Now that we’re nearing the end of August, I’m already starting to dread the end of the availability of some of my favorite fruits and veggies. In order to be able to enjoy them as long as possible, I’m making sure I store them properly so they’ll last until I am ready to use them. I’m storing them in my Freshworks™ Produce Savers.
FreshWorks Produce Savers are new food storage containers that use revolutionary FreshVent™ technology and a CrispTray™ design to keep food fresh. The FreshVent is a patented membrane that naturally regulates the flow of O2 and CO2 to create the best environment for produce. The CrispTray elevates produce away from moisture and helps promote airflow around and under the product to prevent spoilage.
FreshWorks Produce Savers come in three distinct sizes to use for use with different types and amounts of produce and are dishwasher safe and BPA free.
