A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to slip away for a few days of fun with some friends down in Orlando, Florida. We needed a “Girls Getaway” and knew just the place to go – the gorgeous Loews Royal Pacific Resort.
From the moment we pulled up to the resort and took in the tropical lagoon and lush foliage surrounding the front entrance, I knew we were in for a treat. I was immediately greeted with an “Aloha” and given a flower lei to welcome me.
Then a short walk across the bamboo bridge and I was able to see the beautiful Royal Pacific Resort lobby.
After a short and easy check-in, my luggage was on its way up to the room while I took a few minutes to explore.
As with the rest of Universal resort, no expense is spared when it comes to authenticity, and that was clear when I looked around as I walked. Everything, from the exotic orchids and lush foliage to the decor and uniforms, all combined to create the most wonderful tropical paradise.
The resort is absolutely beautiful and there is no shortage of places to relax and enjoy the scenery. There are waterfalls, a tropical lagoon, palm trees and exotic flowers everywhere.
I quickly found the spot that I knew would be my favorite – the beautiful lagoon-style pool.
There are so many great little spots tucked away around the pool, so if you don’t want to sunbathe and sit near others, you can sneak off to a hidden spot in the shade to relax.
The girls and I ended up enjoying the pool every day of our stay. There were always plenty of lounge chairs to sit in, with large chair covers and huge, thick towels available for guests. There were attendants walking around, serving drinks and lunch from the poolside bar and grill, offering towels and making sure we were all happy. Our attendant was moving huge umbrellas around for us as the sun moved and always ready to bring a fruity cocktail when we were thirsty. He was awesome!
For families, there is a great interactive spray-ground area for the kids. We saw a lot of kids and teens having a great time with their families in that area throughout the days. Since the pool is so large and spread out, we didn’t have to worry about being splashed over in the “adult” area. There is also a sandy beach complete with volleyball net, so families can head down to the beach and have fun there too.
Of course, one of the most important parts of my vacation was my room. I wanted to get away and really have time to relax, so I was hoping that the room would be comfortable and nice.
I was thrilled when I walked into the gorgeous King room. It was so pretty – from the gorgeous flower wall mural to the funky lights and fun furniture styles, everything was just beautifully styled.
The functionality of the room was also a pleasant surprise. My room had a mini-fridge, flat-screen tv and nice work and sitting areas. There were also plenty of available plugs throughout the room, on the lamps and desk and in the bathroom vanity area. There were even 2 USB ports available which was perfect for this traveling blogger.
There are lots of dining options available for guests of the Loews Royal Pacific Resort, including a weekly Polynesian luau, a lobby sushi bar, Pan Asian cuisine from the Islands Dining Room and Emeril’s Tchoup Chop. In addition to the on-site dining choices, guests can also take a short, scenic walk or enjoy the complimentary water taxi ride over to City Walk for many more dining, shopping and nightlife options.
In addition the all of the wonderful amenities that Loews Royal Pacific brings, as one of Universal Orlando Resort’s world-class, deluxe hotels, the hotel also offers exclusive benefits to guests.
While staying at Loews Royal Pacific Resort, guests enjoy:
