Campfire S’mores
When I was growing up, my best friend and I would go on family vacations with each other. She’d come with my family to the beach and the mountains and I’d go camping all over the state with hers. We did everything from staying in a nice camper in a camping community with pools and restaurants all the way to staying in a tiny tent in the middle of the forest. We had lots of amazing adventures on those trips, but the one constant on every single trip was hanging out and making campfire s’mores.
So now that I’m a mom, I love sharing experiences like that with my children. I want them to have the same type of wonderful memories from childhood that I do.
So in honor of National S’mores Day, we hosted a celebration dinner and campfire in the park. My daughter’s pre-school friends and their parents joined us for one last afternoon and evening of fun before the kids all headed to different schools for Kindergarten.
The girls enjoyed playing together before dinner and afterward, we joined each other around the campfire to make S’mores.
Each of the girls said her favorite thing about the last year of pre-school and shared what she was looking forward to most in Kindergarten. It was a wonderful way to share such a big milestone in the kids’ lives and will be a lasting memory for each of us.
We all had such a wonderful time. My daughter remembers a fun afternoon and evening with her best childhood friends. And I have the memory of my sweet little girl talking about what she thought Kindergarten would be like and thinking she seemed so tiny and yet so grown up at the same time. I love sharing those magical childhood experiences with my children.
I was lucky enough to be able to share our love of S’mores with everyone as a Camp Bondfire Counselor this summer at the Hershey’s Facebook page. We had a blast celebrating National S’mores Day and love letting everyone know how much we love our Hershey’s S’mores. 🙂
Be sure to check out my very own Camp Bondfire Page on the Hershey’s Facebook Page! I’d love it if you’d swing by and leave a comment. 🙂
I received a promotional product for participating in this event. All opinions and photos are my own. 🙂

I love your photos! S’mores are one of my favorite things and I thought about them last month and made them for my 4yro son for the first time–he loved them! It was so sweet that you could have so many children participate and share their thoughts with each other. I know they’ll remember this, always 🙂
