If you’re a mom like me, you know that vacations change once you start having kids. When my husband and I planned trips before kids, we looked for laid-back vacations where we could relax. We’d pack a cooler, some good books and go sit on the beach somewhere.
Things have definitely changed.
Now that we have kids, vacations are all about having fun. We look for destinations now that are full of activities and events for everyone in the family. And now that my toddler son is old enough to enjoy kiddie rides, we’re able to start going back to great family fun parks again.
One place that we’re really excited about visiting is Hershey, Pennsylvania. I went when I was young with my family and have such wonderful memories. Now I can’t wait to share Hershey with my kids too!
There are so many cool things to do there, from rides and water parks to scenic tours and wild animals. One of my husband’s and my favorite things to do will be the 65 rides and 11 coasters at Hershey Park. My daughters will definitely love the water rides at the the Boardwalk and my little boy will have a ball on the 20 kiddie rides.
Since we don’t get to see most of our extended family throughout the year, we love to take trips together whenever possible. Most of our family lives on the Eastern coast, so Hershey, Pennsylvania, is a great vacation destination for everyone to enjoy together.
I think my parents and my in-laws will love to spend the day at Hershey Chocolate World with the kids. They can learn all about how Hershey products are made and even have fun designing their own chocolate treats.
Another attraction that everyone will love is ZooAmerica. With 11-acre of natural habitats and over 200 animals, ZooAmerica will definitely be a huge hit with my animal-loving kids. There are lots of scheduled programs and events that make learning about the animals and their habitats fun for everyone.
Another cool thing about Hershey is your choice of accommodations. You can choose from a fancy upscale hotel, a nice family lodge or camp with the family in one of the cabins. I would love to stay in one of the cabins with my family! I think it would be almost as much fun to hang out in the cabin at night after a busy day in the parks.
Plus, if we stay at any of the Hershey Resort areas, we’ll get lots of great perks while we’re there!
Doesn’t it all look like fun?

I think of Hershey, PA and I naturally think chocolate. I had no idea that it is such a lovely place with so many fun things to do. I admit, that chocolate would still be on my list of must-dos!
It looks like lots of fun – with enough varied things to do to please everyone.
