Day 1,742 of captivity… and the humans have gotten weird again. It seems that the colder it gets outside, the weirder they become. What is normally a quiet, relaxed home is suddenly filled with more humans, annoyingly happy songs about deer and white stuff, and tons of sparkling objects which – while fun to chew on – taste terrible. The humans seem to get overly stressed this time of year – and take it out on us cats who are only trying to save them from the imminent dangers of the season.
Last week the man brought in a very large tree from outside and out it in a small pool in the big room. The humans were not amused when I climbed said tree to make sure all of the branches were sturdy enough for a nap. They even had the audacity to chase me away when I saved them from the brightly blinking lights and shiny balls which were invading the tree. So ungrateful.
This weekend the house was filled with humans of all ages talking and laughing and exchanging colored boxes. I tried tasting the sparkly bows on top to ensure their safety and was again chased away by the woman. They really are the most unappreciative species.
The little humans thought I might enjoy new clothes for the occasion… I plan to shred their toilet paper in retaliation later. Check mate.
It seems like the only thing the humans and I can agree on is that this time of year requires a few holiday cocktails – and nothing makes cocktails easier than mixing with one of the 15 fruity, flavorful sparkling water from Sparkling Ice. Sparkling Ice can give a fizzy spin on even the most classic cocktails without adding additional calories… since humans care about such stupid things. Frankly I see nothing wrong with a little added fluffiness… but I digress.
Cherry Lime Jingle Juice
Serves 1 stressed-out cat or 1 standard human
INGREDIENTS
1 oz Sparkling Ice Cherry Lime
1 oz vodka
Ice
INSTRUCTIONS
Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a serving glass. Garnish with a lime twist and cherries.
If your human is being weird this season and needs a little something to take the edge off, pull up Sparkling Ice at Amazon on their large bright box. Chances are you will only need to find the A key and the rest will fill itself in from all of the times your human has ordered already. They are going to need more toilet paper anyway.
yum sounds like my kind of drink!
Hahaha I love cats, so to hear from the cats point of view is hilarious.
Looks delicious! Your cat is so cute
Love the tie, such a snappy dresser. That sounds good, I already like the cherry limeade and it would make the perfect mixer.

I love cherry limeade and I love vodka but have never had them together. Yummy! And you’re not alone with the tree issue. My tree is up with no lights and no ornaments with the exception of one sneaky cat that decided to climb to the top.
The pirate costume is the bomb! My twins love sparkling ice drinks.
I would have the Sparkling Ice without the alcohol but make it festive with lime slices and maraschino cherries.
